expiriences with "prefetch: yes"

Hello,

we run some larger resolvers (1.9.1) with prefetch: yes for two weeks.
Now we found a significant increased network load.
Compared to a system with prefetch: no we've seen up to 3 time more  
traffic on the nic.

Is this pattern also seen by other users or may the be a configuration  
failure on our side?
