Reread config without flushing data

Dear Folks,

I've written code to generate ACLs from our configuration management
via cron, and I want to have unbound reread the configuration when
something new turns up. But unbound-control reload seems excessive in
flushing data. I want something more like BIND's rndc reconfig.

I'm sure there's a way; can anyone help with suggestions?
