Possible, but very unlikely, as we're doing tons of queries on these
records (A & PTR) that nearly always work (plus the forwarders are our
own authoritative servers).

Yes, always, but as I said, only a couple hundred queries out of at
least a couple million are left unanswered, so it's very hard to reproduce.
