Dear mailing list,
we have released the first release candidate for Routinator 0.8.1. This
release is a bug fix release only and fixes two issues. First, VRP
filters defined via local exceptions (aka SLURM) weren’t actually
applied. And secondly, the validation command and /validity HTTP
endpoints accidentally matched host prefixes in VRPs with any prefix
that happened to have the same underlying bit pattern.
In addition, two config file bugs have been fixed: the new
'unknown-objects' options was accidentally spelled with an underscore
and the 'rtr-tcp-keepalive' option required a string instead of an
integer. Both have been fixed but the wrong names and values are still
accepted until 0.9.
As always, the complete release notes are available via Github at
https://github.com/NLnetLabs/routinator/releases/tag/v0.8.1-rc1
If you want to join in on testing this bug fix release, you
can install the candidate via cargo. But note that you have to
specifically provide the version number:
cargo install -f --version 0.8.0-rc1 routinator
Binary packages for Debian and Ubuntu are available via the -proposed
'distributions.'
Happy Routinating!
On behalf of the NLnet Labs RPKI Team,
Martin
