[nsd-users] Impending migration of the nsd-users mailing list to community.nlnetlabs.nl

Hi Andreas,

The decision to move away from mailing lists was not taken lightly.

We made several tries in the past to find capable mailing list hosting
providers and either they were not ticking all our boxes or we had to
migrate back to our own self-hosting situation.

Since we are a small developer-focused team, any IT-like activities, in
particular emergency ones, would take priority away from things that
actually need priority.

When Discourse was brought up as an alternative to a community support
channel, we considered the idea only because email-only interaction is
possible with that platform.

We have documented in our FAQ [1] how that interaction would work after
initially signing up and setting some options in the web UI.

We recognize all our users' valuable contributions to this community,
especially yours throughout the years, and we hope that you'll give the
new platform a go.
We can work together to iron out any inconveniences that may arise; we
are also new to this effort.

Best regards,
-- Yorgos

PS. Since today is the last active day of the mailing list, we are happy
to discuss this further also off the mailing list. We can always be
reached at labs at nlnetlabs.nl.
