I've just built an RPM package of it on CentOS 7, and it compiled
without any warnings. It's also running on a test server as a slave for
a handful of zones, and seems fine.

I haven't tried building it on CentOS 6 though, because we have phased
out all our CentOS 6 servers. All our NSD servers are now running CentOS 7.
