Ok.  I've opened a bug about this: 
<URL:http://www.nlnetlabs.nl/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=59>.  The attached patch 
fixes this problem for NSD 1.2.0 (and the just released 1.2.1 which does 
not include this patch).
