[ldns-users] should I be using ldns or libunbound?

I need a lua binding for async dns. I want to use an event loop
external to the library, so that I can integrate dns support into
larger lua applications.

I started using udns, but its support seems lacking, and the author
himself suggested maybe ldns should be used instead... But ldns
doesn't seem to have an examples or docs of doing anything
asynchronously, is this the wrong library for me? Should even be
looking at ldns?
