It doesn't work on my local provider's dns servers, but works on  
OpenDNS's 208.67.222.222 right now on my machine.
Earlier it was on and off. However on the iphone in GPRS, whenever the  
packet is larger than 512 it totally fails with an  
LDNS_STATUS_NETWORK_ERR. Smaller packets work fine (and that's on  
OpenDNS's servers).
I'll try again in tcp mode, but that should also fail...
